新緑の河津も最高です♡　A country side, a beautiful small town, Kawazu, Shizuoka

This town called Kawazu, country side are located in Southern part of Shizuoka Prefecture. It took about 2.5 hours from Tokyo. It still remains a lot of natural beauty there. The picture above is Kawazu River. The water comes from Mt. Amagi, where you can see  beautiful mountains and falls. If you have another 2 or 3 days in Japan, it worth stopping by!

大好きな町、静岡県賀茂郡河津町。河津桜のシーズンじゃないけど、緑がいっぱいでとってもいい季節です！

Cherry blossom blooms in March/ April only. However cherry blosson here blooms in February. Much earlier than Someiyoshino. It’s called KAWAZU SAKURA. Now it turned green but still beautiful, isn’t it? 今の季節も新緑のトンネルになっていて、とっても清々しいですよ。

散歩の途中には、足湯温泉にも必ず入らなければ！！

Walking along with the green road, there is natural fountain!!

You definitely stop by. This is ONSEN only for legs. You don’t need to be naked, just take off your shoes and socks and seat on the bench for a while. For free but Don’t forget bringing your towel.

お腹がすいたらオススメなのが、近くの浜で採れた地魚をたくさんいただけるおすし屋さん。寿司信です。ウェブサイトなんかもなくって、情報を見つけにくいですが、ここは間違いないです。この辺りでナンバー１ですよ。

今日は出前ですが、特上寿司です。

This is for delivery though, TOKUJO SUSHI (3100yen). Fish is always fresh and the chef used a lot of fish from closest ocean Kawazu Hama. You can enjou fresh local fish here.

兼業農家も多いので、家庭に農園がある家が多い町。こちらは無農薬ファーム。

Many local people here has there own farm for growing and harvesting their own fruits and vegetables. This is my aunt’s pesticide-free, non-chemical farm.

Amanatsu orange. It’s little bit sour and sweet. Very nice one this year!!

甘夏の季節です。最高に美味しい酸味と甘味のオレンジが収穫出来ました！カバークロップが伸びちゃって、ファームに入るのに一苦労です。

so many cover crops. it is hard to get in…..

insects…. butterfly…. bee…. 虫達との格闘の末、３箱収穫しました。

道沿いに小さなマーケットを出して、オレンジを売ってるところもあります。でもなんかこの写真へん。。。。You can see a small market along the road. this is the one…but it looks strange.

In the store, the tree sticks. 木が刺さってる！！！

Yes…. not normal though….近くで見て見ると、やっぱりお店の真ん中に木が。。。。

Beautiful sunset into the mountain. Sunrise from the ocean. Perfect place to see both.

This is my favorite area in Japan, ever. My mom’s hometown. この町は山に入ってゆくサンセットも美しいです。海から太陽が昇ってくるので、両方を楽しむことができますよ。河津町、永遠に日本で一番大好きな町です♡
