Japanese CHIMAY? local beer from my hometown, COEDO

Do you love local beer? One of my favorite local beer in the US is Sugar hill in NYC but I have so many favorites. In Japan as well, there are a lot of local beers. Among them, I especially love and strongly recommend one company called COEDO. Have you ever seen these labels? They sell them @ restaurants and bars in Hollywood.
COEDO means “Little Edo” and alternative name of Kawagoe City, my hometown. CO means small or little. EDO comes from a name of the period of Japanese history when it was ruled by the shogun Tokugawa family, running from 1603 to 1868. Anyway, Kawagoe, “Coedo” is such a historical and traditional town like this….

Coedo beer was born in this old town. I love these because taste is so good! They have 5 kinds and my favorite is BENIAKA red rabel, premium lager. It’s contained KINTOKI sweet potato! Rich, sweet, aroma, deep and so smooth!
But I just wondered COEDO reminds me of CHIMAY, belgium beer because of these labels. Don’t you think?

and blue label also…

but when it comes to black label….maybe….guinness?

As I have a lot of time to enjoy beer, I compared black COEDO with GUINNESS.

The form of GUINNESS(right) lasts longer and finer though, taste of COEDO black(left) is way better for me. Both have bitterness but COEDO remain smooth. GUINNES is cheaper. It is $4 even though they import from UK compare with $5 of COEDO even a local price. But it worth it. You’d better try!
Oh, I have to let you know that I try my best to write proper English but I’m not native so I appreciate if you understand it. Thank you so much for your patience!!
